La Voix de l’Évangile, Québec is a vital part of the extensive radio work of MissionGO

which reaches into many French-speaking countries of the world. The broadcasts are recorded in the studio of the radio follow-up office in Châteauguay.

The ministry began in 1955 in the Back to the Bible Broadcast studios in Lincoln, Nebraska through a staff member who spoke French fluently and had a burden for the French-speaking people of the world. An office was soon established in Aix-en-Provence in France.

In 1974, an office was opened in Châteauguay, Québec, under the direction of Global Outreach Mission representatives, Clarence and Pearl Shelly. At the present time, the broadcasts are aired on one station in Montreal and one in Champlain, NY. Stephen Frank became the director of La Voix de l’Évangile, Québec in 2006. His wife, Karen, is also a representative of Global Outreach Mission.

The weekly French-language 15-minute broadcast features Pastor Michel Martel, a Québec evangelist who faithfully teaches the Word of God. Audio messages (in French only) are available on CDs at a reasonable cost as well as approximately 40 books in French on the Christian life.

Action Mondiale d’Évangélisation (Québec) Inc is the name of the Québec incorporation of MissionGO

1. WE BELIEVE the Bible to be verbally inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

2. WE BELIEVE that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: FatherSon and Holy Spirit.

3. WE BELIEVE in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

4. WE BELIEVE that all men have sinned and for the salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

5. WE BELIEVE in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

6. WE BELIEVE in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

7. WE BELIEVE in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ
Our ministry is made possible by the financial and prayer support of individuals, families and churches. Our Bible correspondence courses are sent free of charge to hundreds of students in several countries. How to have Eternal Life
Epicurus, the Greek philosopher, said: « Each of us leaves life with the feeling that he has just been born, » while according to the Arabic proverb, « Death is closer to us than the eyelid of the eye. »

The thoughtful man therefore thinks of the afterlife, but only one throughout the history of mankind has triumphed over death; one who spoke with authority and simplicity of eternal life – Jesus Christ.

What is eternal life?
Eternal life is a life that never ends, and moreover, has a spiritual dimension. Jesus told His listeners, « I tell you the truth, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. » The Gospel according to John 5:24.
His listeners were alive, but because of sin (and all are sinners) they were dead spiritually. Many brilliant men are nevertheless agnostics, atheists, because they are spiritually dead. Their relationship with God is broken, for they do not know Him. Jesus said to His Father, « Now this is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. » John 17:3

You and eternal life
« Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart. Anyone who does not believe God has made Him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about His Son. And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. » First epistle of John 5:10-12.
The theme of the Holy Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, is that of the Redeemer, the Son of God. Over 300 prophecies were fulfilled to the letter in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is God speaking to you and if you do not believe in this message, or if you modify it, you make God a liar and you bring upon yourself everlasting destruction, far from the presence of the Lord. But, if by faith you receive Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour, you will live forever.
Jesus knocks at the door of your life. He wants to give you eternal life. You can experience the forgiveness of sin, peace and communion with God, and the power of a new and spiritual life. This life also has an eternal dimension; therefore, death is not the end but the dawn of an eternal and glorious day in the presence of Jesus Christ and His Father.

How do we receive eternal life?
« For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. » John 3:16.
What needs to be done to inherit eternal life? We must trust in Jesus Christ. Sin caused death: spiritual and physical. Every man is spiritually dead and all die physically. Jesus paid the debt of our sin and therefore, if we are willing to turn from our sins and trust Him, He will forgive us and give us eternal life, for « the Son gives life to whom He is pleased to give it. » John 5.21

Can we know that we have eternal life?
The apostle John completed his first epistle with the words, « I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. » 1 John 5:13. Jesus gave this assurance to the repentant thief, telling him, « today you will be with Me in paradise. » The Gospel according to Luke 23:43

Can you lose eternal life?
In this case it would not be eternal. Moreover, Jesus said, « And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that I shall lose none of all that He has given Me, but raise them up at the last day. For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. » John 6:39 & 40. Speaking of His « sheep” He says: « I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of My hand. » John 10:28. As Jesus gives eternal life to all who trust in Him, He also keeps.

It’s Your Decision « For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son … Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him. » John. 3:17, 18 & 36
These verses in the Gospel of John say that you have the responsibility for your eternal fate in your hands. Jesus has done all that is necessary for your salvation and now offers you eternal life. « He who believes has everlasting life. » John 6:47.That is His promise.
What will you do with Jesus? Draw near to God in prayer and tell Him with all your heart that you trust in Jesus Christ in order to receive His salvation and eternal life.

Let us know of your decision so that we can rejoice with you and send you literature to help you in your new life of faith in Jesus Christ.

Aches and Praise

Aches and Praise Four Hundred & Thirty Three

December 26, 2019

Dear friends,

As we see the decorations and lights inside and outside many homes and places of commerce at Christmas, we are reminded that Jesus said that He is the light of the world. I received an email from a friend that contained the following story:

“D. L. Moody told the story of a man who was crossing the Atlantic by ship. He was terribly sick and confined to his cabin. One night he heard the cry ‘Man overboard!’ He felt that there was nothing he could do to help, but at second thought, he said to himself, ‘I guess I can at least put my lantern in the porthole.’ He struggled to his feet and hung the light so it shined out into the darkness.

The next day he learned that the person who was rescued said, ‘I was going down in the dark night for the last time, when someone put a light in a porthole. As it shone on my hand, a sailor in a lifeboat grabbed it and pulled me in.’”

The author of the devotional that contained this story writes: “All of us have weaknesses — and times of weakness. The fact of the matter is, though, that weak or not, we need to muster up the strength to put our lights in our portholes for the sake of the dying and the lost among us. It’s so tempting to sulk in our weaknesses, and stay in our beds — but God expects more of us. He has given us the strength to do all things — even move mountains! There are so many people around us sinking in despair. But God has chosen us to reach out and light up their lives!”

While “Joy to the World” is one of the most popular Christmas carols, this time of year is very challenging for many. As believers, we need to help others see that Christ is the reason for the season and He alone offers forgiveness of sins and true joy.

Karen and I would like to thank all of our friends who pray for us and support us in the ministry to which He called us many years ago. A year ago, friends from our home church helped us relocate the radio follow-up office to a more central location in Châteauguay. This year, Karen has had many opportunities to study God’s Word with several women and these times have been filled with laughter and reflection. We look forward to all that the Lord will do in the year ahead!

Scripture for the weekend: “‘I love Thee, O Lord, my strength.’ The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” Psalm 18:1-2 (NASB)

Thought for the weekend: “Courage is fear that has said its prayers.” – Dorothy Bernard (from “A Story Is Told” by Discovery House Publishers)

By His grace,

Steve
