La Voix de l’Évangile, Québec is a vital part of the extensive radio work of Global Outreach Mission

which reaches into many French-speaking countries of the world. The broadcasts are recorded in the studio of the radio follow-up office in Châteauguay.

The ministry began in 1955 in the Back to the Bible Broadcast studios in Lincoln, Nebraska through a staff member who spoke French fluently and had a burden for the French-speaking people of the world. An office was soon established in Aix-en-Provence in France.

In 1974, an office was opened in Châteauguay, Québec, under the direction of Global Outreach Mission representatives, Clarence and Pearl Shelly. At the present time, the broadcasts are aired on one station in Montreal, six stations in northern Ontario, seven stations in Atlantic Canada and one in Champlain, NY. Stephen Frank became the director of La Voix de l’Évangile, Québec in 2006. His wife, Karen, is also a representative of Global Outreach Mission.

The weekly French-language 15-minute broadcast features Pastor Michel Martel, a Québec evangelist who faithfully teaches the Word of God. Audio messages (in French only) are available on CDs at a reasonable cost as well as approximately 40 books in French on the Christian life.

Action Mondiale d’Évangélisation (Québec) Inc is the name of the Québec incorporation of Global Outreach Mission.

2. WE BELIEVE that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: FatherSon and Holy Spirit.

3. WE BELIEVE in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

4. WE BELIEVE that all men have sinned and for the salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

5. WE BELIEVE in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

How to have Eternal Life
Epicurus, the Greek philosopher, said: « Each of us leaves life with the feeling that he has just been born, » while according to the Arabic proverb, « Death is closer to us than the eyelid of the eye. »

The thoughtful man therefore thinks of the afterlife, but only one throughout the history of mankind has triumphed over death; one who spoke with authority and simplicity of eternal life – Jesus Christ.

What is eternal life?
Eternal life is a life that never ends, and moreover, has a spiritual dimension. Jesus told His listeners, « I tell you the truth, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. » The Gospel according to John 5:24.
His listeners were alive, but because of sin (and all are sinners) they were dead spiritually. Many brilliant men are nevertheless agnostics, atheists, because they are spiritually dead. Their relationship with God is broken, for they do not know Him. Jesus said to His Father, « Now this is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. » John 17:3

You and eternal life
« Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart. Anyone who does not believe God has made Him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about His Son. And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. » First epistle of John 5:10-12.
The theme of the Holy Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, is that of the Redeemer, the Son of God. Over 300 prophecies were fulfilled to the letter in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is God speaking to you and if you do not believe in this message, or if you modify it, you make God a liar and you bring upon yourself everlasting destruction, far from the presence of the Lord. But, if by faith you receive Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour, you will live forever.
Jesus knocks at the door of your life. He wants to give you eternal life. You can experience the forgiveness of sin, peace and communion with God, and the power of a new and spiritual life. This life also has an eternal dimension; therefore, death is not the end but the dawn of an eternal and glorious day in the presence of Jesus Christ and His Father.

How do we receive eternal life?
« For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. » John 3:16.
What needs to be done to inherit eternal life? We must trust in Jesus Christ. Sin caused death: spiritual and physical. Every man is spiritually dead and all die physically. Jesus paid the debt of our sin and therefore, if we are willing to turn from our sins and trust Him, He will forgive us and give us eternal life, for « the Son gives life to whom He is pleased to give it. » John 5.21

Can we know that we have eternal life?
The apostle John completed his first epistle with the words, « I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. » 1 John 5:13. Jesus gave this assurance to the repentant thief, telling him, « today you will be with Me in paradise. » The Gospel according to Luke 23:43

Can you lose eternal life?
In this case it would not be eternal. Moreover, Jesus said, « And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that I shall lose none of all that He has given Me, but raise them up at the last day. For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. » John 6:39 & 40. Speaking of His « sheep” He says: « I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of My hand. » John 10:28. As Jesus gives eternal life to all who trust in Him, He also keeps.

It’s Your Decision « For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son … Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him. » John. 3:17, 18 & 36
These verses in the Gospel of John say that you have the responsibility for your eternal fate in your hands. Jesus has done all that is necessary for your salvation and now offers you eternal life. « He who believes has everlasting life. » John 6:47.That is His promise.
What will you do with Jesus? Draw near to God in prayer and tell Him with all your heart that you trust in Jesus Christ in order to receive His salvation and eternal life.

Let us know of your decision so that we can rejoice with you and send you literature to help you in your new life of faith in Jesus Christ.

Aches and Praise Three Hundred & Ninety

March 1, 2019

Dear friends,

Don’t you love the first day of a new month? If you keep a calendar on the wall, on which you write appointments, you get to flip to a new page and dream of what exciting events might take place in the days ahead. From what I’ve heard on the news lately, there are some politicians that might be dreading the future, as controversy swirls around them.

In recent years, there have been a lot of changes in the Canadian and American governments. When I was thirteen, I decided to distribute literature for a man who was running for election in my favourite political party at the time, even though I was too young to vote. Less than forty years later, the son of the Prime Minister of Canada in the late 1960s became the leader of the party that formed the current government. Justin Trudeau followed in the footsteps of his father, Pierre Elliott, for whom the Montreal airport is named, by choosing to enter public service. As was the case with his father, he has many friends and many detractors.

As we try to ascertain which politicians are telling the truth, we would do well to remember that God has given us everything we need to know about truth in His Word. One of the ways in which the Lord Jesus described Himself was to say that He is the truth (John 14:6). How wonderful it is to know that the Holy Spirit, one of the three persons of God, inspired men to write the 66 books of the Bible, our source of truth! In his book “The God Who Walks Beside Us,” David Roper examines the differences between Jacob and Esau. He writes: “Of the two brothers, Esau seemingly had the easier life. He lived in untrammeled ease and affluence throughout his entire existence, his good name intact to the end. Esau was a distinguished statesman who founded a long line of great kings (Genesis 36) … Jacob never had it that good. Despite his aptitude for finagling, his entire life was a swarm of sorrow, pain, trouble and care.” Brother Roper goes on to show how God loved and disciplined Jacob, declaring twenty-two times that He was “the God of Jacob.”

Have you been experiencing difficult circumstances? As believers, we know that God desires that we follow Him wholeheartedly. If you have never asked God’s forgiveness for your sins, now is the time to repent (change your way of thinking) and turn to the One who not only created the world, but also created Man and wants to have a close relationship with His creation.

Scripture for the weekend: “The God who made the world and all things in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands; neither is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to all life and breath and all things” Acts 17:24-25 (NASB)

Thought for the weekend: “No matter how flawed by deceit, how cursed by sin, how guilt-ridden, disgraced, and ruined we may be, we can be made new if we will only give ourselves to the mighty God of Jacob.” – David Roper (from his book “The God Who Walks Beside Us,” Discovery House Publishers, Grand Rapids, Michigan)

By His grace,

Steve
