La Voix de l’Évangile, Québec is a vital part of the extensive radio work of Global Outreach Mission

which reaches into many French-speaking countries of the world. The broadcasts are recorded in the studio of the radio follow-up office in Châteauguay.

The ministry began in 1955 in the Back to the Bible Broadcast studios in Lincoln, Nebraska through a staff member who spoke French fluently and had a burden for the French-speaking people of the world. An office was soon established in Aix-en-Provence in France.

In 1974, an office was opened in Châteauguay, Québec, under the direction of Global Outreach Mission representatives, Clarence and Pearl Shelly. At the present time, the broadcasts are aired on one station in Montreal, six stations in northern Ontario, seven stations in Atlantic Canada and one in Champlain, NY. Stephen Frank became the director of La Voix de l’Évangile, Québec in 2006. His wife, Karen, is also a representative of Global Outreach Mission.

The weekly French-language 15-minute broadcast features Pastor Michel Martel, a Québec evangelist who faithfully teaches the Word of God. Audio messages (in French only) are available on CDs at a reasonable cost as well as approximately 40 books in French on the Christian life.

Action Mondiale d’Évangélisation (Québec) Inc is the name of the Québec incorporation of Global Outreach Mission.

1. WE BELIEVE the Bible to be verbally inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

2. WE BELIEVE that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: FatherSon and Holy Spirit.

3. WE BELIEVE in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

4. WE BELIEVE that all men have sinned and for the salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

5. WE BELIEVE in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

6. WE BELIEVE in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

7. WE BELIEVE in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ
Our ministry is made possible by the financial and prayer support of individuals, families and churches. Our Bible correspondence courses are sent free of charge to hundreds of students in several countries. How to have Eternal Life
Epicurus, the Greek philosopher, said: « Each of us leaves life with the feeling that he has just been born, » while according to the Arabic proverb, « Death is closer to us than the eyelid of the eye. »

The thoughtful man therefore thinks of the afterlife, but only one throughout the history of mankind has triumphed over death; one who spoke with authority and simplicity of eternal life – Jesus Christ.

What is eternal life?
Eternal life is a life that never ends, and moreover, has a spiritual dimension. Jesus told His listeners, « I tell you the truth, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. » The Gospel according to John 5:24.
His listeners were alive, but because of sin (and all are sinners) they were dead spiritually. Many brilliant men are nevertheless agnostics, atheists, because they are spiritually dead. Their relationship with God is broken, for they do not know Him. Jesus said to His Father, « Now this is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. » John 17:3

You and eternal life
« Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart. Anyone who does not believe God has made Him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about His Son. And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. » First epistle of John 5:10-12.
The theme of the Holy Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, is that of the Redeemer, the Son of God. Over 300 prophecies were fulfilled to the letter in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is God speaking to you and if you do not believe in this message, or if you modify it, you make God a liar and you bring upon yourself everlasting destruction, far from the presence of the Lord. But, if by faith you receive Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour, you will live forever.
Jesus knocks at the door of your life. He wants to give you eternal life. You can experience the forgiveness of sin, peace and communion with God, and the power of a new and spiritual life. This life also has an eternal dimension; therefore, death is not the end but the dawn of an eternal and glorious day in the presence of Jesus Christ and His Father.

How do we receive eternal life?
« For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. » John 3:16.
What needs to be done to inherit eternal life? We must trust in Jesus Christ. Sin caused death: spiritual and physical. Every man is spiritually dead and all die physically. Jesus paid the debt of our sin and therefore, if we are willing to turn from our sins and trust Him, He will forgive us and give us eternal life, for « the Son gives life to whom He is pleased to give it. » John 5.21

Can we know that we have eternal life?
The apostle John completed his first epistle with the words, « I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. » 1 John 5:13. Jesus gave this assurance to the repentant thief, telling him, « today you will be with Me in paradise. » The Gospel according to Luke 23:43

Can you lose eternal life?
In this case it would not be eternal. Moreover, Jesus said, « And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that I shall lose none of all that He has given Me, but raise them up at the last day. For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. » John 6:39 & 40. Speaking of His « sheep” He says: « I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of My hand. » John 10:28. As Jesus gives eternal life to all who trust in Him, He also keeps.

It’s Your Decision « For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son … Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him. » John. 3:17, 18 & 36
These verses in the Gospel of John say that you have the responsibility for your eternal fate in your hands. Jesus has done all that is necessary for your salvation and now offers you eternal life. « He who believes has everlasting life. » John 6:47.That is His promise.
What will you do with Jesus? Draw near to God in prayer and tell Him with all your heart that you trust in Jesus Christ in order to receive His salvation and eternal life.

Let us know of your decision so that we can rejoice with you and send you literature to help you in your new life of faith in Jesus Christ.

Aches and Praises

Aches and Praise Four Hundred & Sixteen

August 29, 2019

Dear friends,

“I can’t wait!” is an expression that adults generally associate more with children than with other adults. It might be in regards to a birthday, Christmas or some other special time where receiving gifts is anticipated. This week, the first Costco store in China opened and then was closed earlier than scheduled because of the huge crowd of people who clamoured for food and other goods.

After finishing my studies in commerce at Concordia University in Montreal in April 1977, I began preparing to attend an orientation conference of Operation Mobilization (O.M.) in Edina, Minnesota (a suburb of Minneapolis) in June. I listened to messages by George Verwer on discipleship, spiritual warfare and other subjects that helped me better understand God’s Word and His plan to build His church around the world. I was so excited to join a movement that was dedicated to training disciples of Christ and sharing the good news of salvation through Him.

More than 40 years later, I have many wonderful memories of people I met and places I visited in Europe, Mexico and Panama. This summer, Karen and I received an email from Jim and Lydia Munn, missionaries in France who are moving to the United States in September. Jim was the leader of the first O.M. team that I was a part of in Alsace, France in 1977. God used Jim’s father, Robert, in giving my mother-in-law, the late Pearl Shelly, a burden for France after hearing him speak in Ontario. We are very eager to see Jim and Lydia in a couple of weeks and hear some of the wonderful ways that the Lord has worked in and through them.

This week, I finished reading “Waiting on God” by Charles Stanley. He tells a story that Don Richardson wrote about in his book “Eternity in Their Hearts.” I was blessed by the messages that Don gave at the O.M. conference in Edina, MN in 1977, but didn’t remember the details of this story. In the late 1800s, the Lahu people of Burma (now Myanmar) wore ropes on their wrists symbolizing their “bondage to evil spirits.” Stanley writes: “…they knew someone would appear who would tell them about the One who could deliver them. And they understood that the messenger would bring them the Book of the One True God – whom they called Gui’Sha, which means ‘the Creator of all things.’ Their holy men taught that when the right time came, Gui’Sha would send a white brother with a white book containing the laws of Gui’Sha.”

The story continues: “One day, as they made the long journey from their mountain village to sell their goods at the market in Kengtung, they noticed an odd-looking man explaining the Ten Commandments … They stared incredulously at his white face, the white interior of the book in his hand, and listened to his description – in the Shan language – of the laws of God contained in that book. Instantly they knew this was the brother they had been expecting. They told the missionary, ‘We as a people have been waiting for you for centuries … We even have meeting houses built in some of our villages in readiness for your coming.’ Of course, William Marcus Young had no idea about how God would use him to reach the Lahu when he left America in 1892. He simply obeyed the Lord and preached the gospel.” You can read about the late Don Richardson at: https://www.missionfrontiers.org/issue/article/remembering-don-richardson

If you have never repented and asked God’s forgiveness for your sins, what are you waiting for? If you are a believer, but have not told others the good news, today would be a great time to start.

Scripture for the weekend: “Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, and He said to them, ‘Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and rise again from the dead the third day; and that repentance for forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in His name to all the nations beginning from Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things.” Luke 24:45-48 (NASB)

Thought for the weekend: “We only make life more painful for others and ourselves when we resist His hand.” – David Roper (from his book “The God Who Walks Beside Us”)

By His grace,

 Steve
