La Voix de l’Évangile, Québec is a vital part of the extensive radio work of MissionGO

which reaches into many French-speaking countries of the world. The broadcasts are recorded in the studio of the radio follow-up office in Châteauguay.

The ministry began in 1955 in the Back to the Bible Broadcast studios in Lincoln, Nebraska through a staff member who spoke French fluently and had a burden for the French-speaking people of the world. An office was soon established in Aix-en-Provence in France.

In 1974, an office was opened in Châteauguay, Québec, under the direction of MissionGO representatives, Clarence and Pearl Shelly. At the present time, the broadcasts are aired on one station in Montreal and one in Champlain, NY. Stephen Frank became the director of La Voix de l’Évangile, Québec in 2006. His wife, Karen, is also a representative of MissionGO.

The weekly French-language 15-minute broadcast features Pastor Michel Martel, a Québec evangelist who faithfully teaches the Word of God. Audio messages (in French only) are available on CDs at a reasonable cost as well as approximately 40 books in French on the Christian life.

Action Mondiale d’Évangélisation (Québec) Inc is the name of the Québec incorporation of MissionGO

How to have Eternal Life
Epicurus, the Greek philosopher, said: « Each of us leaves life with the feeling that he has just been born, » while according to the Arabic proverb, « Death is closer to us than the eyelid of the eye. »

The thoughtful man therefore thinks of the afterlife, but only one throughout the history of mankind has triumphed over death; one who spoke with authority and simplicity of eternal life – Jesus Christ.

What is eternal life?
Eternal life is a life that never ends, and moreover, has a spiritual dimension. Jesus told His listeners, « I tell you the truth, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. » The Gospel according to John 5:24.
His listeners were alive, but because of sin (and all are sinners) they were dead spiritually. Many brilliant men are nevertheless agnostics, atheists, because they are spiritually dead. Their relationship with God is broken, for they do not know Him. Jesus said to His Father, « Now this is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. » John 17:3

You and eternal life
« Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart. Anyone who does not believe God has made Him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about His Son. And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. » First epistle of John 5:10-12.
The theme of the Holy Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, is that of the Redeemer, the Son of God. Over 300 prophecies were fulfilled to the letter in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is God speaking to you and if you do not believe in this message, or if you modify it, you make God a liar and you bring upon yourself everlasting destruction, far from the presence of the Lord. But, if by faith you receive Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour, you will live forever.
Jesus knocks at the door of your life. He wants to give you eternal life. You can experience the forgiveness of sin, peace and communion with God, and the power of a new and spiritual life. This life also has an eternal dimension; therefore, death is not the end but the dawn of an eternal and glorious day in the presence of Jesus Christ and His Father.

How do we receive eternal life?
« For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. » John 3:16.
What needs to be done to inherit eternal life? We must trust in Jesus Christ. Sin caused death: spiritual and physical. Every man is spiritually dead and all die physically. Jesus paid the debt of our sin and therefore, if we are willing to turn from our sins and trust Him, He will forgive us and give us eternal life, for « the Son gives life to whom He is pleased to give it. » John 5.21

Can we know that we have eternal life?
The apostle John completed his first epistle with the words, « I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. » 1 John 5:13. Jesus gave this assurance to the repentant thief, telling him, « today you will be with Me in paradise. » The Gospel according to Luke 23:43

Can you lose eternal life?
In this case it would not be eternal. Moreover, Jesus said, « And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that I shall lose none of all that He has given Me, but raise them up at the last day. For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. » John 6:39 & 40. Speaking of His « sheep” He says: « I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of My hand. » John 10:28. As Jesus gives eternal life to all who trust in Him, He also keeps.

It’s Your Decision « For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son … Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him. » John. 3:17, 18 & 36
These verses in the Gospel of John say that you have the responsibility for your eternal fate in your hands. Jesus has done all that is necessary for your salvation and now offers you eternal life. « He who believes has everlasting life. » John 6:47.That is His promise.
What will you do with Jesus? Draw near to God in prayer and tell Him with all your heart that you trust in Jesus Christ in order to receive His salvation and eternal life.

Let us know of your decision so that we can rejoice with you and send you literature to help you in your new life of faith in Jesus Christ.

Aches and Praise

Aches and Praise Three Hundred & Twenty Seven

Dear friends,

When I was correcting a Bible course in our office yesterday, I had a very nice surprise: there was a cheque in the middle of the course. I had opened the envelope two weeks ago, but hadn’t seen the cheque. This reminded me of God’s faithfulness in providing funds, through His people, for the purchase of radio time, as well as the expenses of maintaining a ministry office in Châteauguay. In the Bible, we read many promises, including the following: “And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19).

While Karen and I were visiting a supporting church in Ontario in October, we received several books, including Stan Toler’s “Minute Motivators for Men.” Despite the title of the book, his insights will prove helpful to women too. In the first chapter – “Take Charge of Your Attitude,” Toler writes: “There are many things you can’t control. You can’t control the weather, the traffic, the actions of your boss, or the outcome of a sporting event. But there is one thing you can control: your attitude.”

Did you hear about an Ontario family who waited more than nine months to receive a bank draft for $846,000? The story was reported on the Internet yesterday at: www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/ups-td-canada-trust-bankdraft-1.4447384. You can imagine the feelings of frustration that the family experienced before the bank decided to issue a new bank draft. Karen and I understand a little of what the family felt, as we had to wait more than a year for a bank draft to be received. Somehow a transfer of funds from one financial institution to another did not go as it should have and we tried to be patient as one bank “passed the buck” in assigning blame to the other bank.

The “blame game” goes back to the Garden of Eden. The first woman gave the forbidden fruit to her husband, Adam, and he chose to join her in defying God’s command.  When God called to Adam, he answered by saying that he tried to hide from Him because he was afraid and that he took the fruit from the woman that God gave him (Genesis 3:10-12). Eve then said that the serpent deceived her (Genesis 3:13). It is easy to find someone or something to blame when we do or say something that we shouldn’t, isn’t it? How fitting that on the first Christmas, the angel of the Lord told the shepherds to not be afraid (in contrast to Adam) because he was bringing “good news of a great joy which shall be for all the people” (Luke 2:10). This Christmas, let’s worship the Lord and remember that He delivers us from all our fears.

Scripture for the weekend: “Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men, and being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.” Philippians 2:5-8 (NASB)

Thought for the weekend: “Christmas is all about God’s grace. It’s about what God has done for us that we could never have done for ourselves. Christmas is also about God’s humility. We can’t begin to fathom what took place when the all-glorious, all-powerful, perfect, majestic, sovereign, eternal God of the ages allowed Himself to take on the weaknesses, limitations, and frailties of our humanity.” – J. Christopher Smith (from the November/December 2017 edition of “Israel My Glory” magazine)

By His grace,

Steve
